    Vanessa Photo by Phil MaltzHello!

Welcome to my website. It’s always a bit weird as to how you should describe yourself in these things, so, here goes.

I relocated to London from Dublin in 2013. I currently work as a Content Coordinator in Premier. The company has two radio stations, three magazines and we also produce video content.

It’s quite a varied role. I make sure we make the best use out of any news stories / guests. I also have been working on two radio series with Roger Bolton, Holy Places and Reputations. I edited both series and packaged them for broadcast. I also coordinate The Profile Interview on Saturday afternoons. Different presenters interview different personalities every week, I make sure it’s all done. I also work in the video department overseeing video production.

I also present ‘The London Ear‘ on RTE 2XM, a weekly music programme which I pre-record from London. The show is broadcast every Wednesday at 1400 and repeated every Sunday at 2100.

Before that I presented ‘Culture Cafe’, a weekly music arts and culture radio show for RTÉ 2XM (Digital Station). The show started life in 2009 on DCUfm and has been on air on RTE 2XM since July 2011. I have also presented and produced separate Culture Cafe shows which were broadcast on 2FM (National FM station). I’ve just relaunched Culture Cafe as a podcast.

I graduated from Dublin City University in 2012 with a BSc. in Multimedia, with a 2.1 grade. My final thesis was entitled ‘The Roll Out of Digital Audio Broadcasting in Ireland and explorations into the future radio landscape’. (Click to read) I’ve also achieved a ‘First’ grade in two Video modules, Scriptwriting, E-learning and E-Society.

When I’ve time, I also keep a blog, nessymon.com which covers, music, movies and arts and other stuff and write about music for Goldenplec.com

I have previously worked within the CD/DVD manufacturing sector and have experience in Production Coordination and Management in this area. Along the way, my duties included preparing print ready artwork and preparing audio masters for duplication/replication, Customer Service, generation of quotes and leading weekly schedule meetings.

I have been involved with helping musicians implement social media and PR strategies and have successfully organised licensing deals for worldwide use. I’ve also acted as booker for a number of venues as well as running my own music nights. I’ve also stage managing experience.

I have helped a number of acts through the Irish release of their work, which resulted in chart success. I was responsible for booking and promotion of Grammy nominated, Sophie B Hawkins’ only Irish tour, which was a sell out. Through my work, I have obtained a good working knowledge of the music and media industries in Ireland and the U.K.

It’s not all work though. Since December 2011, I have been a part of a successful Guinness World Record attempt and also part of a charity ensemble which reached Number 1 in the iTunes Charts in Ireland.
